		<description><![CDATA[PF martial characters aren&#039;t as boring, because there are a lot of options other than just hitting things with your sword. Tripping, Disarming, Sundering, Grappling, Stealing, Repositioning, pushing, and fighting defensively are all valid options. That doesn&#039;t even include special attacks you can do.

There are a lot more options in general that you can do in combat (it&#039;s a more open / flexible system), but perhaps that&#039;s more of a mindset than anything.

Some PFS GMs are too nice to PCs and then lay the beat down on pregens. Personally, that breaks immersion for me, when severely bad things happen to NPCs, henchmen, and &quot;disposable&quot; PCs, and the PCs have a charmed life. If there&#039;s no threat of dying, there&#039;s almost no point in playing. It&#039;s a really hard edge to skate at times, that&#039;s one reason I stick to mostly modules / scenarios, they&#039;re mostly balanced at a certain APL, so death should be infrequent.]]></description>
